The Inge Morath Foundation manages the legacy of Magnum photographer Inge Morath (Austria,1923), who died in 2003. The foundation preserves Morath's extensive archive, shows it to the public and organises educational programs about archiving photography. In cooperation with the Magnum Foundation, the IM Foundation annually awards the Inge Morath Award . This $5000 grant is awarded to a female documentary photographer or photojournalist younger than 30. The prize has to be used for a long-term project.

Extra information: The deadline for submissions for the IM Award is around April 30th. The IM Foundation regularly develops thematic, travelling exhibitions from its archive that are on show throughout the world.
