Polka is a gallery, magazine and website dedicated to press photography, started by two siblings: Edward and Adelie Genestar. Both worked within the realms of media and press: as journalist and producer. (Their father Alain Genestar was editior in chief of Paris Match and now directorof Polka.) From their common interest in images, photography, news and arts, Polka Galerie – dedicated to photojournalism – was born.
The gallery organises exhibitions and events. Polka represents several photographers and sells their work. Part of the exhibition space is reserved for the photo-reports that are published in Polka Magazine.
