Kadir van Lohuizen (1963) heeft in zijn 20 jarige carriere als fotojournalist vele thema`s en gebeurtenissen vastgelegd, waaronder conflicten in Afrika en het Midden-Oosten. Maar het meest bekend is hij waarschijnlijk om zijn langlopende projecten Aderen, over de zeven wereldrivieren, en Diamond Matters, over de diamantindustrie. Van Lohuizen heeft talloze prijzen ontvangen voor zijn werk, waaronder twee World Press Photo awards. In september 2007 richtte hij, samen met tien andere fotografen, het agentschap NOOR op. Een jaar later trad hij toe tot de Raad van Toezicht van World Press Photo. Van Lohuizen heeft vier boeken gepubliceerd, waaronder `Diamond Matters, the Diamond Industry` and `Aderen`.

Kadir van Lohuizen (1963) has covered conflicts throughout the world, but he is probably best known for his projects on the seven rivers of the world and the diamond industry. He has received numerous prizes for his work, including two World Press Photo awards. In September 2007, Van Lohuizen and ten others established the agency NOOR (Amsterdam, New York). He became a member of the supervisory board of World Press Photo in 2008. To date, Van Lohuizen has published four photo books, including `Diamond Matters, the diamond industry` and `Aderen`.
