The Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb offers a number of courses in English, at different levels. All of these courses have a strong individual artistic mentorship component. Purely theoretical courses are conducted in Croatian only.

Among the courses are painting, graphic arts, art education and art restoration and conservation. The first two years focus on drawing and composition. The third and fourth year concentrate on individual artistic expression. The academy doesn’t offer a separate photography course.
