Les Boutographies is a festival scattered throughout the city of Montpellier. A professional jury chooses fifteen young French and European photographers from the applicants, who make up the main exhibition. Besides that the festivals offers a program of institutions who have been invited by the organisation to present work. This happens in the exhibitions ‘Hors les murs’ and ‘La Carte Blanche’.

The festival has an exchange program with the Fotoleggendo festival in Rome. The exchange consists of an exhibition at the partner-festival. The festival also awards an award and a jury prize of €1.000.
