Fotografisk Center , established 1996, is an independent organization, located in Copenhagen, run by director Lars Schwander.
A full range of fine art photography is shown, with an equal emphasis on both classic and contemporary artists of both Danish and international origin.
The gallery space covers 200 square meters and has a well-stocked bookstore that specializes in photography.

The bookstore features major international publications, limited edition artists books as well as more than 20 in-house publications that accompany exhibitions. The
Fotografisk Center publications extend beyond our own exhibitions with titles for the National museum of photography / Det Nationale Fotomuseum as well.

Fotografisk Center has also established The Digital Room, a digital darkroom and workshop available to artists.

FotoForum is a series of lectures, offering artists the chance to talk about their work in cooperation with Fotografisk Center and DJ:Fotograferne.
