La Virreina Centre de la Imatge presents cultural policy as subject of exhibition and debate.

The organisation aims to be more than just an art centre: it hopes to offer a place where images and culture reveal the circumstances behind their very production and distribution.

The building houses four spaces: two exhibition rooms, one room dedicated to special projects and one permanent reference and documentation section.
The centre also includes La Virreina Lab, a room devoted to educational activities, film showings, conferences and archive presentations.

Extra information: The Virreina Centre de la Imatge and La Fábrica organised OjodePez Photo Meeting Barcelona , an event focused on documentary photography which aims to provide a new meeting place for photographers and those with a passion for this genre. The meeting took place in July 2010 and hosted a programme of activities boasting photo projections in the street, talks, debates, documentary films and a portfolio viewing.
