The Ryerson School of Image Arts is part of the Ryerson University. This division dedicated to film, photography and new media has a four-year course in photography where students learn all about technology, theories of representation, critiques and formulating and producing a final project.

The Ryerson University also offers a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Media, bringing together the traditions of documentary film and photography with emerging new media approaches to create a unique interdisciplinary program.

While the MFA is centred on production – drawing on Ryerson's tradition of applied education and strong industry and alumni links in film, photography and new media – the curriculum also provides for an understanding of the historical and contemporary theoretical framework that surrounds the ongoing development of documentary practices.

Get in touch with program Administrator Dahlia Younan (docmedia@ryerson.ca - +1 4169795000 ext 2763) for more information or visit www.ryerson.ca You can also try Robert Burley (Photography program director) at rburley@ryerson.ca
