The Image Archive of Tekniska Museum includes an estimated 1.000.000 photographs (positives) and negatives. The images date from the 1850’s to the present day. They depict exteriors and interiors from Swedish companies, its people at work, products and portraits and provide a visual description of the development of Swedish technology.

The Film Archive contains several hundred films relating to the history of technology and industrial history in a variety of film and video formats.

The Swedish Network for documentary photography was initiated in 2004 and is made up of museums and other cultural institutions in Sweden with an interest in documentary practices. Tekniska Museum is one of them.
