Ville Ouverte is a Paris-based institution, dedicated to the urban environment. Photography is an important instrument for the organisation to document and grant access to Paris’ urban (architectural) history and experiments.
The institute houses a gallery (Les Douches - La Galerie), has it’s own publishing label, commissions documentary series, offers a thematic range of (travelling) exhibitions and an educational program for a wide audience, including workshops for beginners.
