Pascal Decroos Fund for Investigative Journalism
was founded in memory of journalist Pascal Decroos. He was a man with a passion for journalism, who felt committed to the case of vulnerable groups in our society. During his short life (he died at 33) he earned himself the reputation of a critical, inventive television journalist. His motto: don’t allow yourself to get carried away by the stream of superficial news, but submerge; don’t jump to conclusions, but investigate until you find the truth.
The fund carrying his name promotes quality research and journalism, creates opportunities for young people to develop their journalistic talent and brings together people from different layers of society.
Application forms, deadlines and examples of granted projects can be found here
This fund is for Belgian journalists only, but the site offers some interesting background info for other journalism funds like the European Fund for Investigative Journalism
